BURJ AL ARAB
This spectacular 'seven star' resort rises up 321-metres from its own man-made island in the Arabian Sea.
It is connected to its sister property, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel by a 280-metre bridge and whilst guests are
invited to take full advantage of both properties, why would they ever want to leave the luxurious confines
of Burj al Arab? The resort truly is a tribute to intricate craftsmanship, constructed throughout with only
the finest materials and all of its accommodation comprising luxurious one, two or three-bedroom suites.
Indeed, most of the rooms are arranged over two floors linked by spiral staircases, their sheer opulence
complemented by technology that does everything from controlling the plasma 42" TV screens to closing the
curtains on the floor-to-ceiling windows. Recreational facilities include the palatial Asawan Spa & Health
Club with its two pools, fitness studio and eighteen treatment rooms, whilst dining means a choice between
European cuisine high up on the 27th floor or seafood in a restaurant reached by a simulated submarine voyage.
A once-in-a-lifetime experience!
202 one, two and 3-bedroom suites, including Presidential & Royal Suites. Children are accepted
and can take advantage of the club at the adjacent Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Room rate includes breakfast.

Sister hotel to Burj al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah is an equally awe-inspiring development. Themed after the
spirit and style of 'Old Arabia', this new property lies right in the heart of fashionable Jumeirah and boasts
an enviable list of facilities including a kilometre of private beach, a comprehensive fitness facility, a
luxurious Six Senses spa, a bustling retail souk with 75 shops, as well as 23 different restaurants, cafes and
bars. And just in case that's not enough to keep you entertained, all the amenities of sister properties Burj
al Arab, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the Wild Wadi Water Park, lie right on the doorstep. Water taxis transport
guests throughout the resort to one of three different hotel options; the gateway property Mina A' Salam, the
resort's centerpiece Al Qasr or the premier accommodation at Dar Al Masyaf. The first two are grand boutique
hotels with water views, whilst the latter was inspired by the traditional summer courtyard homes of old Arabia
- private butlers and the exclusive use of shared pools are just some of the refinements on offer here.

dramatic landmark on the shores of the Arabian Gulf. An extensive and multi-faceted resort, it offers no
less than twenty different international restaurants and bars, as well as sporting facilities for all age
groups. Four swimming pools, 900-metres of private beach, a PADI dive centre, a tennis facility and a

activities of their own club, as well as the family adventure playground and adjacent Wild Wadi Water
Park. The 599 guest rooms and suites are all a decent size (at least 50 square metres) and boast
unblemished views of the sea through their floor-to-ceiling windows. Those wanting all the sporting
facilities, but a little more peace and quiet should consider the Arabian-style villas of the exclusive
Beit Al Bahar section.

THE RITZ-CARLTON
This Mediterranean-style resort is a haven of class in the fashionable Jumeirah Beach area, the
elegance synonymous with the Ritz-Carlton name spiced up with subtle hints of Arabia. It is relatively
small by Dubai standards (just 138 rooms and suites), but offers world-class recreational facilities
including squash courts, tennis courts, an Oriental-style spa and a meandering swimming pool with
waterfalls, water slides and swim-up bars. The classic guest rooms feature everything contemporary
travellers love best, including fully-stocked honour bars, bathrobes and complimentary fruit baskets,
with the six different menu presentations of the Club Lounge meaning guests hardly have time to
discover the restaurants. But that would be a pity, as the Mediterranean specialities of the Splendido
and European cuisine of La Baie are some of the best dining experiences in Dubai. It goes without
saying that the service is outstanding.

pool. Room rate includes breakfast.

Eastern and Asian fare. The Kasbar nightclub waits to take nightowls into the small hours.

AL MAHA DESERT RESORT & SPA
This highly-acclaimed desert resort is hidden away amidst a 225 sq.kms desert conservation reserve
a 45-minutes drive from Dubai city. And whilst its luxurious accommodation and five-star facilities
satisfy the demands of the most discerning traveller, it is primarily an opportunity to experience
the culture and traditions of the Dubai desert. Wildlife like gazelles and horned oryx have gradually
been re-introduced to the area, whilst activities such as falconry, camel trekking and nature walks
occupy at least part of every day. But don't worry, there are also traditional resort attractions,
including a new spa with infinity-edge pool and hydrotherapy treatments, not to mention gourmet
Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine served in the elegant restaurant. Of course, guests can also dine
in total privacy in their rooms, the 'Bedouin Suites' veritable works of art complete with tented
ceilings, rich fabrics, hand-crafted furnishings and opulent stone bathrooms that Rudolph Valentino
himself would have loved. Their expansive decks and private swimming pools are the perfect finishing
touches.
