South of Santa Monica is Venice Beach/Muscle Beach. Venice has a great Farmer's Market at the weekend where you can get some plate busting great American breakfasts. Drive around the canal area to see some excellent Post-Modern homes as well as the one-man shows. Venice is frequented by of all types; there are rappers, musicians and street-magicians all along the boardwalk performing for tips.) The boardwalk sports shops as well, sunglasses, convenience stores, tattoo parlors and many different types of eateries. There's also a great bar, The Venice Bistro, just south of Rose on the boardwalk. Where the pleasant ambiance lends itself to people watching and boy there are some sights to see, while knocking back an ice cold beer chased with a golden shot of Bourbon!
